This application note is not only interesting if you want to specify the dynamic behavior of a DAC. You can learn a lot here about building circuits for precision measurements. Appendix B discusses the the rareley mentioned (but important) topic of oscilloscope overdrive performance. You will prpobably not find this specified in the manual of your scope, but Williams shows you a test that will tell you how much it is affected. Appendix G is about breadboarding, layout and connection techniques. Williams tells you how proper grounding and shielding will enable you to make reliable precision measurements. It also includes 10 commented pics of the protoypes he built for this app note.
