The blog also contains a link to the Adobe Flash Player which you will need to view the videos (unless you have already installed it).
These video lectures are from Tim Fiegenbaum from North Seattle Community College. They are based on the text Electronics for Computer Technology by David Terrell. Though the text is sometimes referenced, the lectures can be understood very easily even without the text. The lectures do not assume any prior knowledge of mathematics or electronics, only the most basic mathematical operations are used. Before the standard topics of elementary electronics are covered, there is an interesting treatment of electronic systems in the first chapter. The next chapters cover the fundamental concepts of electronics. Series and parallel circuits are covered, but the analysis of arbitrary circuits using mesh or node analysis is not covered. The next chapter covers troubleshooting of purely resistive circuits and general troubleshooting strategies. Chapters 6 and 7 cover AC and circuits including capacitors, inductors and transformers. The next chapter cover semiconductors in general, then diodes, transistors and Op Amps. The last 2 chapters discuss (after an introduction to digital electronics) microprocessors and related topics.
You should also take a look at some recommendations for books on practical analog electronics.
