Review of Carter: SLYT134 An Audio Circuit Collection Part 3

Download SLYT134 An Audio Circuit Collection Part 3 from Texas Instruments (2005, 7 pages, 247 KB pdf file)

This last part of the Audio Circuit Collection explains how a simulated inductor can be used to build a graphic equalizer circuit. On the first page the concept of a simulated inductor is very shortly explained, then Carter shows how you can build a graphic equalizer by using a number of low Q band-pass filters (each of which is build by using the simulated inductor circuit).

The other parts of the Audio Circuit Collection contain low-pass and high-pass filters ( Part 1 ) and notch-filters and curve-fitting filters ( Part 2 ). You may also be interested in the other free E-books and Application Notes from Texas Instruments.
